For free writing this week, I chose to write about the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have been one of my favorite NFL teams since I was in 1st grade. In 1st grade, my father and I supported them the entire season. That year, they ended up losing in the Super Bowl to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I still liked the Cardinals throughout my childhood and when my favorite LSU player, Patrick Peterson, got drafted to go there I began to love them.
In fourth grade, my family and I went to the Grand Canyon for Thanksgiving. While we were there I couldn't stop begging my parents to bring me to a game. My dad and I really wanted to go, and we ended up going. The Arizona Cardinals played against the St. Louis Rams, an NFC west showdown. The Cardinals ended up winning big and Patrick Peterson got an interception. After the game Patrick gave me his jersey and gloves he had worn that game. We then went to go eat with him after. It was the greatest night of my life.
Riley, this is well written and it tells a great story. Patrick Peterson is a talented and hard working football player; and he seems like a great person. It is remarkable to me that your favorite team and your favorite player started out separate and ended up being together. I think this was very well written and interesting.
